Ultra-specialized services
West Montreal Readaptation Centre (WMRC) is proud to offer ultra-specialized services in two domains: severe behavioural disorders (TGC) and psychology for individuals with an intellectual disability (ID) or pervasive developmental disorder (PDD).
Ultra-specialized responsibilities are as follows:
- managing policies and procedures pertaining to users with challenging behaviours
- leading the training of personnel in a multi-modal approach to treatment
- supporting client services
- performing clinical evaluations
- coordinating problematic situations
- conducting a multi-modal analysis of the dossiers of users with TGC (medical issues, working hypothesis, etc.)
- participating in liaison committees with psychiatric institutions
- assisting in the integration of users with TGC from hospital to community
- supervising and coordinating the transdisciplinary team and specialized intervention plans
- supervising the intensive specialized support team and evaluation site (Jasper)
