Specialized psychology services

West Montreal Readaptation Centre (WMRC) has assigned a team of psychologists to work with client services teams.

The psychologists work directly with the teams to assist with the following:

• support and consultation on daily trouble-shooting
• screening of clients at risk
• coaching on how to design an intervention plan to reduce risk
• prevention programs for users with severe behavioural disorders (TGC) such as anger management, anxiety reduction techniques, sexuality education, social skills traiing
• training for client services
• implementation of the multi-modal approach
• support in the referral process to the trans-disciplinary team
• participation in trans-disciplinary reviews
• participation in the organization's professional training program
• development of crisis prevention protocols for users with TGC.
